About Independent Distribution

Hello, my name is Andrew Pye, and here is a little overview about who I am.

I am originally from Sale, Cheshire where I was brought up, and went to secondary school in the lovely village of Hartford in Northwich, Cheshire.

Deep down I am a true Saleownion, or Cheshownion depending on how you look at it!

 

In 2011 I moved to Hyde, Tameside after living for a few years in the beautiful hilly village of Rawthorpe in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. In 2015 I moved again to the wonderful picturesque countryside village of Tenterden in Kent.​.

I have 3 wonderful children and family life plus my family ran growing business are  what I concentrate on.

Independent Distribution was set up in September 2020, 9 months after the the start of a pandemic of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid 19). I decided to set the business up during this period because I wanted to help local businesses and service providers. Several ongoing lockdowns and restrictions affected so many people and businesses worldwide. Me and my little family have always been strong believers of supporting the community by shopping locally and using local services, so setting up Independent Distribution was the right thing to do. At the very beginning we just focussed on leaflet delivery, however, we have since evolved into other areas including promotions and business administration, and gained a new acquisition of becoming a Utilities Warehouse Partner in July 2024, with the intention to help people struggling in our current financial climate, to reduce utility bills.

Prior to 2020, I accumulated over 20 years experience in the customer service and sales industries and spent the majority of this time doing clerical tasks in offices, over 11 years of which was for UK Civil Service Full Time, at the same time of offering part time delivery services.

As for hobbies, my interests are varied, including socialising, attending and promoting events, listening to music and learning to play the electric guitar.
